Danielle was born in Ottawa and has been painting and teaching art since the early 90’s. Drawing and watercolor where her first means of expression and these mediums still influence her work in acrylics today.
She loves to paint daily in her Gatineau studio surrounded by the nature that inspires her work. It’s the essence of this nature that she strives to capture in her luminous and expressive paintings. Her unique work is characterized by bold and spontaneous brushstrokes that create a lot of energy and movement in her compositions. She likes to work in recurring series from high contrasting winter landscapes to more colorful summer flowers and fields.
