Sarah Clarke

I’m a born and raised small-town-old-soul, an admitted pottery addict, wife and momma to a beautiful baby girl. I’ve had a knack for all things creative as far back as I can remember and earned a bachelors degree in art from the University of Waterloo in 2011.

I’ve always been a big believer in doing what you love and loving what you do. My paintings are inspired by my immediate surroundings, I don’t have to go far to find inspiration when watching light filter through the trees has become a spiritual practice. I’m also captivated by unconventional beauty… rust, crumbling bricks and peeling paint draw me into the history of place with the intricacy of their colours and textures.

The goal is always to capture the light and character of “everyday” things that go unnoticed and to give them value by turning them into art.
